The Friends of the El Dorado Hills Library underwrites the following library events and programs:

Summer Reading Challenge for kids, teens, and adults
Professional performance events for children and families during the Summer and throughout the year
Special preschool storytimes
Painting, papercrafting, and art classes for teens and adults
LEGO Block Party monthly gathering
Children, teens, and adult book clubs
YELL (Youth Executive Library League) — a community service group for teens who love the library
Large community events, such as Spring Carnival, Harry Potter Party and ComicCon
