Used Book Donations
Your generous donations of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, sheet music, and other items make our Used Book Sales highly anticipated community events. In 2019, Used Book Sale donations raised more than $36,700! All of these funds go directly to support the library.
If you have a large donation (more than a few books at a time), please contact us so we can coordinate.
- Donate books anytime at the outdoor receptacle next to the library’s entry doors.
- Donate books anytime at the outdoor receptacle near the entrance to Raley’s, 3935 Park Dr., El Dorado Hills.
Please do not leave any books that do not fit fully inside the box.

How We Sell Books
Friends of the EDH Library offers two-day Used Book Sale events throughout the year. In addition to in-person Used Book Sale events, we have other sales avenues:
- Books are always available for sale on an honor basis in the lobby of the El Dorado Hills Library.
- Rare treasures and special finds are sold online through Amazon as well as other avenues.
Book Sales Benefit Many
In addition to providing essential funds for the El Dorado Hills Library, our Used Book Sale events also provide books to:
- Little Free Libraries
- Blue Star Moms
- Inmates and visitors to the Folsom Prison
